Spring 2016 Registration
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our NASA Families!!
The 2016 spring soccer registration is now open for all travel levels ~ U12, U14 and high school levels U16/U18. Register by December 6th and receive a $40 discount*. Not registering early runs you the risk of rosters reaching their maximum levels and your child being wait-listed. If wait-listed, you will be notified accordingly and your credit card will NOT be charged until a team assignment is made.
NASA’s goal is to assign all registered players to a team and targets 15 players per U12 team and 18 per U14 team. We also strive to place all registered high school players who are interested in playing. Roster placements are made on a first come, first serve basis until rosters are full. The exceptions to that policy are the top level teams in the U12/U14 brackets, and the U16/18 teams that are "coach select" teams.
ECYSA has published a new ruling that now allows dual rostering in all age groups. The dual rostering means that a player can play for a maximum of two teams provided that:
a. Only one team is playing towards MTOC eligibility.
b. Only one team is playing towards National Cup eligibility.
c. Only one team is playing towards State cup eligibility, regardless of state.
Basically, they cannot compete on two teams that are eligible for the same end tournament, be it MTOC, National Cup or State Cup. If you want to learn more about this ruling, please go ECYSA’s website and search on guidelines.
To register, please click on this “REGISTRATION LINK” to enter the NASA website. Your child’s credentials will be sent to you at the bottom of this e-mail. NASA players who are affiliated with other clubs that use Gotsoccer must register with a unique NASA account. If the club account is used to register with NASA, we will need to reject the registration and process a refund, requiring the need to re-register.
Here are some key dates:
· November 22 nd – Early Registration Opens
· December 6th – Early Registration Ends
· December 20th – Late Registration Begins
· December 27th - Registration Closes
· April 9th - First Game (TBD)
· June 4th – Last Game, if no make ups (TBD)
If you have questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me at Registrar@nasoccer.com.
Note: The purpose of the fee is to cover the operating expenses such as field maintenance, equipment costs, developmental programs, MYSA required player insurance, ECYSA required field fees, CDT costs and referee fees. The player fees have not been elevated in recent years, and the board has voted on the increase to assure that NASA is positioned to continue to operate a quality program for our children. And in keeping with our goal of making this an affordable activity for all children, we have also increased the early registration discount to offset a portion of the fee increase for those who want to take advantage of it.
