3rd Season for
NASA’s Soccer Pride Program
NASA’s Pride program will run for it’s third season
this Fall’08 and we are looking forward to getting started. Last season
was a huge success and we closed out the season with an ice cream social at Smolak
Farms. A lot of fun was had by all. Check out the photos on the
NASA web-site (www.nasoccer.com).
NASA board members and NASA parents will partner
with volunteer High School athletes and volunteer soccer players from our U-14
travel program to continue to bring the fun sport of soccer to the special
needs children in our area. The program will focus on soccer activities
and games that promote health and positive self-esteem.
The mission of this program is to bring the
opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl ages 6 to 14, who
has Down Syndrome, Autism or Cerebral Palsy. The players will be taught the
fundamentals of the game in a fun, structured and safe environment.
If you would like to know more about the program or
would like to volunteer to assist, please contact Philip Tustin at development@nasoccer.com.
If you would like to register a child for this program, go to the NASA web-site
